We usually will require an ultrasound prior to your consultation and treatment. If you do not have one you may schedule it with us the morning of your consultation. The ultrasound is a way to measure the blood flow in the penis and determine your level of vascular ED. Depending on your ultrasound results, an MRI of the blood vessels in your pelvis may be required to further evaluate you for vascular ED. All of these tests can be performed within our center.

To help prevent blood clots from forming inside of the arteries after the procedure, all of our patients are placed on a blood thinner after the procedure. For patients who have a stent placed, Plavix will also be given in addition to Pradaxa and they will be prescribed for a longer period of time. There is an additional cost associated with your Pradaxa and Plavix but most insurances will cover these medications.
