The Arrigo Procedure
The Arrigo procedure can create a permanent, durable solution to ED caused by vascular disease, alleviating the need for medications! It also gives new hope to patients who either did not respond or could not take oral ED medications.
The Arrigo procedure uses the latest state-of-the-art endovascular techniques to open blocked arteries in the pelvis leading into the penis restoring normal blood flow. This procedure is done safely on an outpatient basis alleviating the need for long, risky hospitalizations and surgery.
Patients with vascular ED have a small needle placed into the artery in the groin area. From this location, wires and catheters are carefully guided into the left and right internal pudendal arteries, which supply blood to the penis. X-ray pictures of these arteries are taken to evaluate the degree of blockage and narrowing. After the blockages or stenoses are found, a combination of small balloons and stents can be used to open the arteries back to their normal size.
Once the arteries are successfully opened, blood flow during sexual activity is increased helping lead to improved erections and improved sexual encounters. Since the procedure is completed through state-of-the-art, minimally invasive techniques, no major surgery is required, allowing patients to be discharged on the same day after a safe recovery period.
As with any medical procedures, there are risks that we encourage you to discuss with your physician during your consultation with Arrigo Heath. All patients will be asked to sign a consent prior to their procedure.
